Community Involvement
In addition, Alex is involved in his local community.
Alex presently serves his local community as well. He is the President of his Neighborhood Association in Decatur, GA. He also serves a member of the Administrative Council of Eastside United Methodist Church.
Alex also works in a volunteer capacity with the State Bar. He is a Board Member of the Professional Liability Section of the Georgia State Bar. He speaks yearly at a CLE Event for Professional Malpractice. He is also a member of the Litigation Committee and Small Firm Committee of the Young Lawyers Division of the Georgia State Bar. Alex also Weatherby enjoys returning to his alma mater, the University of Georgia, School of Law, to volunteer as a judge for their moot court and mock trial teams.
Alex has served the community in many capacities through the years. Mr. Weatherby is a member of the Alpha Phi Omega National Service Fraternity. This fraternity is dedicated exclusively to service projects in their community. Through this fraternity, and on his own, Mr. Weatherby has previously worked with St. Martin’s in the Pines Nursing Home as a family liaison and Habitat for Humanity as a builder.
